Bio of Presenter:

Wanda began working in mental health in 1982 as a psychiatric nurse. In 1997, following a near fatal car accident, she returned to college, receiving a BA in psychology and Spanish followed by  an MS in Community Counseling  from Gannon University in Erie, PA in 2003.

Since then she has worked with substance abuse, mental health and dual diagnosis.  She was in the pilot program for trauma in 2007 and in 2012 became an advanced trauma specialist through NCCTP and the National Trauma Network.

After working as a clinical director and leading trainings she started working as an ACEP for NBCC and NAADAC and has been approved for trainings through NCSAPPB.  In October 2015 she was trained through the LPCANC for the Certified Clinical Military Counselor Certificate.

Since 2007 she has worked in the DUI field being certified in Prime for Life and Prime Solutions.

Her private practices focus on trauma and dual diagnosis. Additionally, she has contracted as a clinical supervisor and clinical director and consultant for several CABHAs in North Carolina.

She currently supervises several clinicians for licensing. What she enjoys most is leading trainings for other professionals on weekends! Her husband, registered Therapy Dogs; Boon and Katie, enjoy discovering the areas where they travel for trainings and supervision. Once a training is completed. It is very common  to see attendees visiting Katie and Boon while they wait.

All First Friday Webinars are 1-hour long and receive 1 contact hour of continuing education credit. LPCANC is an NBCC-approved provider (ACEP) #5807.
