Description:
Play is the natural world of the child and necessary
for healthy development. It is the place and time
to imagine, create and express, to experiment, practice,
rehearse and to master, to communicate and cooperate,
to heal and to grow. Play is the first language of
the child. It is fun and the serious work of a child.
It is only natural, then, to use play in therapy with
children. Come play, in this break in your day, and
gain an insight into how you might use play in your
therapy room. Please, bring with you, a toy from your
childhood (or a replica or drawing of that toy).
Directions:
Directions: From I-40 , whether approaching from the
east or west on I-40, take Exit 50-A which is Highway
25 South (Hendersonville Road). Head south on Hendersonville
Rd. At the second stoplight, turn right on Vanderbilt
Park Drive. Stay on Vanderbilt Park Drive, which will
make a turn to the right behind the Asheville Cardiology
building. Proceed to the roundabout and go about halfway
around. You will see the Mission Reuter Children's
Outpatient Building and directional signs to the left
for parking.
