Description: Supervisors are immediately needed for pre-licensure LPCs throughout North Carolina. Do you have the ACS that includes 30 verifiable hours of supervision training? Do you want to get the additional 15 hours of quality supervision training required for the LPCS? Do you want intense live supervision practice (the component most other workshops lack) and receive quality LPC supervision training from fellow LPCs? Do you want practical, multimodal training without traveling three to four hours that is completed in one day? If so, LPCANC has the opportunity for you.

Details: Workshop participants must hold the ACS and attach verification of active status with application OR need only 15 remaining hours to complete the 45 required for LPCS by NCBLPC.

Participants must video record four (4) full supervision sessions with either an actual supervision client or someone acting as a supervision client. They should be on DVD (no exceptions), and should have been tested to work properly on your individual computers’ DVD/optical drives prior to bringing them to the workshop.

These videos will be reviewed during intense individual and group workshop supervision. In addition, each participant will complete a supervision self-assessment. Each participant will share her/his self-assessment with the group. Review of appropriate feedback delivery, supervision models, ethical and legal implications, multicultural/diversity issues, goal setting, methods and techniques, and contrast between group and individual supervision will be covered. Handout material will be emailed to workshop participants one week before the workshop. There will be a 30-minute short answer quiz at the end of the workshop.
