PTSD and the LPCANC: What’s new that we need to know? NEW DATE!

Speaker: Harold D. McMillion, Ed.D., LPC, CCMHC, NCC, ACS

Description: Dr. McMillion will discuss current professional issues for LPC's and the need for advocacy. He will present updated treatment modalities for PTSD and TBI including neurofeedback and stress management. The audience should be able to identify symptoms of PTSD as well as signs of stress. The challenge in advancing the counseling profession will be discussed by inviting other menatl health professional to join the LPCANC.

Presenter: Harold D. McMillion, Ed.D., LPC, CCMHC, NCC, ACS has a long career in the profession of Counseling. He is currently the Team Leader with the Greenville, NC Vet Center where he works with PTSD and readjustment problems of War Veteran's and their families. As a mental health professional with over thirty two years of clincial experience he has a wealth of knowledge in the counseling field. He currently serves on the Board of the LPCANC and is an advocate for the counseling profession within the federal system.
