Description: LPCs will encounter clients contending with spiritual issue with the clients. The Association for Spiritual, Ethical, and Religious Values in Counseling (ASERVIC) has convened the second Summit on Spirituality. One of the first tasks of the Summit working group has been to revisit and revise the spiritual competencies for counselors, first published over 12 years ago. To this end, a large factor-analysis was conducted with the end result of 14 competencies in 6 major domain areas. These competencies have just been approved by the ASERVIC Board of Directors and have not yet been publicly disseminated. Be among the first to review and discuss the newest iteration of the Spiritual Competencies for Counselors.
