Abstract: 

Join lobbyist Ashley Perkinson for our First Friday Webinar in May.  Ashley will give an overview of the upcoming 2018 General Assembly short session and discuss the 2018 LPCANC Legislative Priorities as well as current health care policy updates.  The webinar will also provide information on the upcoming LPCANC General Assembly Advocacy Day on June 14.  


Bio of Presenter:

Ashley grew up in Archdale, North Carolina and graduated Phi Beta Kappa from the UNC Chapel Hill School of Journalism in 1998.  She received her law degree from UNC Chapel Hill in 2001.  In 2010, Ashley founded Perkinson Law Firm with a focus on government relations and nonprofit law.  She represents both national and statewide organizations and associations at the North Carolina General Assembly.  Ashley enjoys volunteering in the community and currently serves on the Board of Trustees of the North Carolina Symphony and as chair of the Symphony's External Affairs Committee and chair of the Symphony's Strategic Planning Committee.  She also formerly served as president of the Phi Beta Kappa Association of Wake County, chair of the Distinguished Guests Committee of the Junior League of Raleigh’s 2013 Inaugural Ball, secretary of the Wake County Bar Association, and chair of the Wake County Bar Association Bylaws Committee.  In 2011, Ashley was named by Triangle Business Journal as one of the Triangle’s 40 Under 40.

All First Friday Webinars are 1-hour long and receive 1 contact hour of continuing education credit. LPCANC is an NBCC-approved provider (ACEP) #5807.
