LPCANC Advocacy Day

Thursday, June 14, 2018 at 7:30 AM

Main NC General Assembly/ Legislative Building Cafeteria

(Located on the lowest level of the main building)

If you are an early riser, we hope you will join us for the 2018 LPCANC Legislative Breakfast on June 14 from 7:30 a.m. - 9:00 a.m. in the Legislative Cafeteria located at 16 West Jones Street, Raleigh in the main Legislative Building of the North Carolina General Assembly. Breakfast will begin promptly at 7:30 a.m. We will invite legislators to also attend the breakfast, so this is a good opportunity to meet legislators and hear more about our LPCANC advocacy efforts during the 2018 Short Session of the General Assembly.

After breakfast, members will have the opportunity to attend legislative committee meetings and meet legislators. If you are interested in meeting with your state Senator and state House member but are not sure where to start, visit https://www.ncleg.net/representation/WhoRepresentsMe.aspx to find their contact information by putting in your home address. It helps to let your Senator and Representative know you will be in town, so give them a call and set an appointment to stop by and discuss issues within the LPC profession and the field of mental health. If you need assistance in either finding your legislators or making an appointment, please let us know. We will provide talking points for you at the breakfast and tips for speaking with your legislators.

*You WILL need which House and Senate districts you are in for the registration form.
