Call for Mentors & Mentees

Dear colleagues and friends,

In 2008, we launched a “Mentoring Program for New Professionals”. The idea was to enlist the assistance of more experienced LPCs to help a new professional in developing their identity as a counselor, as well as in navigating their insertion into the field. This program is primarily offered to those colleagues who are in their last semester of their graduate program, and/or entering their first six months into the field.

During this first “Pilot” year of the program, we were able to match a few pairs –for now, predominantly by geographic locale, and we hope to continue establishing more of these mentoring relationships.

Please let us know if you would consider becoming a mentor to a graduate student/new professional in your area. When they graduate, it it likely many of our students will find this kind of relationship quite helpful. If interested, please complete and return the program application. Click here for a copy.

Best regards to all.
