First Friday Webinars

First Friday Webinars are offered on the First Friday of each month; if that date falls on a holiday, the Webinar will hold on the second Friday. All First Friday Webinars are one (1) hour long, qualifying for one (1) continuing education credit, under the LPCANC NBCC-approved provider status (#5807).
These Webinars are done entirely online. You will receive an invitation with a link to join the Webinar; this will be sent to you either Thursday evening (the night before the Webinar) or early Friday morning. You must use that link to enter the Webinar. Please call or text Glenna Thurston at 919.723.7087 if you have not received your invitation by 10am on the morning of the Webinar.
The Webinars are FREE to LPCANC members; non-members will pay $10. You must log-in to register for all LPCANC events, including the Webinars; non-members will need to set up a member type before registering. Click here to either join or choose "Event Attendee" as a non-paid member type; this type only gives you registration privileges and does not offer discounts. Once they have set that up, they will log-in and register. This will allow all participants to receive their certificate online after completing the required evaluation & content quiz. Please note: You do not need to request and/or pay for your certificate; it will be sent to you upon completing the requirements.

Each Webinar is recorded; if you cannot attend the live Webinar, you can listen to the recording and still complete the evaluation to receive your certificate for contact hours. Note: You must achieve 100% on the evaluation in order to receive your certificate; you can re-take the evaluation as many times as needed.

Calling All Presenters!
If you are interested in presenting a First Friday Webinar, please submit your topic and your information in the form below. Once the information is received and reviewed by the Professional Development Committee Chair, you will be assigned a month to present. Presenting a First Friday Webinar is a great way for first-time presenters to "get your feet wet" as a presenter!
Presenters will be required to submit their name, credentials, bio and CV (resume), along with their topic and abstract. Please view the NBCC guidelines for topics and requirements for presenters before submitting. If you do not meet the qualifications for presenting the topic (refer to NBCC eligibility rules), you can ask someone to co-present who does meet the requirements. If you have any questions, please contact the PDC Chair.
