North Carolina Office of State Personnel has added permanent job classifications for Licensed Professional Counselors

June 30, 2010

LPCANC is pleased to announce that through its advocacy efforts, the North Carolina Office of State Personnel has added permanent job classifications for Licensed Professional Counselors. Until June 1, no permanent job classification existed for Licensed Professional Counselors in North Carolina’s Office of State Personnel.

Your LPCANC advocacy team and lobbyist have worked for over a year with officials from the Office of State Personnel to develop this permanent job classification. We hope that this development will result in a greater number of jobs and positions available for Licensed Professional Counselors throughout the state.

The North Carolina Office of State Personnel provides leadership and support for agencies and universities in creating and sustaining human resource systems to attract and develop the state’s workforce.

We thank the staff of the Office of State Personnel for their diligent work in creating this new permanent job classification for Licensed Professional Counselors.
