LPCANC Colleagues

(1) GOOD NEWS - I am very pleased to inform you that H code billing by Board Eligible LPC's (and other provisionally licensed professionals) has been extended until June 30, 2010. LPCANC and our professional association colleagues met with Secretary Lanier M. Cansler of DHHS on May 12, 2009 and advocated for an extension of the H codes. Click here to see memo from DHHS.

(2) TAKE ACTION - The proposed NC House Budget is horrific. Read the following News & Observer article. http://www.newsobserver.com/politics/story/1554795.html THEN.... find your legislator and IMMEDIATELY e-mail and call them http://www.ncleg.net/. ASK them to support ways to offset these deep cuts which hurt children and vulnerable people in NC.

(3) LPCANC's bill H746/S956 "Amend the LPC Act" needs your ACTION now -it's VERY IMPORTANT! H746 has passed the House and is onto the Senate. It is going to be heard in the Senate Commerce committee shortly. Please contact your senator immediately (to find them go to http://www.ncleg.net/ ). Call and e-mail (both are very important) and ask them to support H746/S956 - "Amend the LPC Act". We need to ensure a smooth passage in the Senate and you can help!
