LPCANC is excited to welcome Kody Kinsley, Deputy Secretary for Behavioral Health and Intellectual Developmental Disabilities at DHHS. He is scheduled to speak on Friday, October 25th during lunch from 12:45-1:15.

He leads state-wide public policy and operations that promote whole-person health by developing prevention methods, interventions, and systems of care for individuals living with mental illness, intellectual or developmental disabilities, traumatic brain injuries, and substance use disorders.

Kody oversees the Division of Mental Health, Developmental Disabilities, and Substance Abuse Services, which develops policy and funds community-based services and supports.

This year has been an extremely busy time at DHHS with ongoing changes to Medicaid and how services will be delivered to communities across NC. As an attendee, this will be a great opportunity to gain valuable information about not only how these changes will impact the LPC community but also how DHHS is continuing to provide the best possible services to communities through NC.

Please do not forget to join us on Thursday, October 24th during lunch 12-12:50 for Medicaid Discussion Panel with Q&A with representatives from all 5 NC MCOs. Thus, these lunch-time discussions are an excellent opportunity to become more engaged and aware of how you as a service provider and the populations you serve could be impacted by current and ongoing changes in our state. We are looking forward to seeing you there!
