Calling LPCANC Members!

LPCANC needs you to step-up & VOLUNTEER!

Founded as a non-profit, LPCANC runs by power and energy of many dedicated volunteers. Volunteers are our life-blood and mainstay of the Licensed Professional Counselor Association of North Carolina. Without volunteers, LPCANC would cease to operate.

There are so many wonderful ways and opportunities for you to volunteer with LPCANC.       As each volunteer brings their own special talents, every single volunteer enriches our association. 

A myriad of possible volunteer opportunities await you.

From one-time or short-term stints (e.g. presenting at the Annual Conference or a webinar), to serving on a Committee or moving up to serve on the Board, we've got something for you.

Whether you're a new volunteer or have experience, we have endless opportunities for you to become involved in LPCANC and make a difference in your profession.

Please consider becoming a VOLUNTEER and share your time & talents to help your profession. 

 Remember, many hands make work light!

There are just some of the ways that you can help. All LPCANC committees need volunteers.

  • CONFERENCE - The Annual Conference has many facets and requires many hands. From managing on-site conference volunteers, to recruiting sponsors, developing marketing and media promotions, to selecting speakers, conference committee members are key players in the success of our conferences.
  • PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT (PDC) - Plan & implement educational events; develop important professional education focusing on emerging and evidence based practice. Works with Communications, Conference, Advocacy, Membership and University Relations.
  • ADVOCACY - Help advocate tor the counseling profession and public mental health matters; inform members about current issues that impact the people we serve and our profession. Works with PDC,Communications, Conference, 
  • COMMUNICATIONS - Using Social media to website and on, help work on a committee that is critically important to keep our Membership up-to-date and informed. Works with all committees.
  • UNIVERSITY RELATIONS - Outreach and networking to University Counseling programs and grad students. Works hand-in-hand with Graduate Student rep, Membership, Conference, Advocacy and Communication

  • MEMBERSHIP - Works with recruiting and retaining members; identifies areas of importance to members and help liaison with Board to ensure membership retains key value
  • AD HOC COMMITTEES & SPECIAL PROJECTS - From time-to-time, LPCANC may need help in special expertise or consultation for a new project. Areas of need can range from the creative to technical - e.g. art work, finance, marketing, conducting surveys or building databases.

Pre-requisites to Become a LPCANC VOLUNTEER

 (2) The willingness to volunteer and learn

(3) Commitment and Follow-thru
